1st pregnancy

Today, the rush has finally stopped we are now waiting... and waiting.... as ready as we can be for the next step. Our little Flaherty is due this Saturday the 28th. I have recently been put on Bed-rest d/t some hypertension issues but the baby is okay!

This pregnancy has been a whirlwind of activities and changes as most of you know. I only had some nausea in the beginning of my first trimester and here and there throughout 2nd, not bad at all! I have worked full time up to this 39 week, which my co-workers call me crazy but you probably already knew that. We have had frequent ultrasounds d/t some placental lakes that have been no issue to the baby thus far.

On Martin Luther King's birthday in Jan when we had gone in for an ultrasound the lady at the facility said she would offer a free 3d ultrasound for fun since we were her last patient of the day, of course we said yes, and it was one of the coolest experiences... our little bug had tons of hair and was throwing its arms all around. What a crazy miracle that is inside my belly!

Every time we go into the doctors the baby is going crazy, you are supposed to count fetal kicks and there is no need for us because the baby is consistently moving, one arm flies that way and one foot another, we actually had a scare because are baby was moving for 12hrs straight and we thought it was in distress, little did we know some babies just move like this and it is perfectly healthy....I guess we are in for it when this little bugger comes out!

We just recently got the babies room done with the help of the siblings and some peeps, it was a surprise for Jense when he got back from a work trip.

Everything seems still surreal, emotions are running high...Now our bags are packed in the car, our car seat is installed.... and we are just waiting!!!
